TRAINING: BECOME A QUILT JUDGE

The course will be an intensive two-day training covering all aspects of quilt judging, including extensive hands-on practice. It is designed for individuals who intend to become active quilt judges.  The course would also be beneficial for current quilt judges who wish to further their knowledge of current best practice and hone their skills.  

Experience in the judging arena is crucial in preparing for this course. Participants are encouraged to seek opportunities to participate in the judging process: planning, scribing, assisting, observing and shadowing. Candidates should be able to endure the physical rigors of full-day judging with minimal breaks.

Instructors are accomplished quilters and trained/experienced judges: Julie Curry, Diana Muenzler and Kitty Oliver. Our mission is to provide training in quilt evaluation that is fair, thorough and encouraging.

Registration will open in early November. The cost is $400, which does not include meals or lodging.
